Henry W. GRADY Highschool renamed….
My alma-mater, Henry W. Grady Highschool has officially been renamed! As many of you may know, Henry W. Grady was a problematic historical figure in Atlanta history (depending on who you ask). As an African-American teen, I was NOT fond of attending a school named for a racist historical figure, so when alumni were asked to vote for a name change, I jumped at the chance.
